2010 Camaro, A Second Look
Camaro RS Revisited
Today, I had the opportunity to take a second look at the 2010 Camaro RS previously reviewed on April 25th. The car is very well put together with uniform body gaps and a very aggressive business appearance.
The car was still bringing in the car guys and gals to take a look. I did not photograph the paparazzi today. The focus was on selected important technical details that would be of interest to the Tribune reader.
Front Photo
There were some specific detail items that deserve attention. At the front of the car are the halo lights and in the front photo is the subdued RS Emblem tucked in the grill.
Rear Photo
At the right rear is the not-so-subtle RS emblem and the RS spoiler.
Side Photo
This photo has the very straight CAMARO script on the front fender. GM corporate emblem is at the bottom of the fender. Tire information is clearly visible.
Looking at the tire photograph close-up shows the 245/45 SR20 nomenclature. Definitely an aggressive set of tires on the RS.
CARB Environmental Performance Label
On the car was the Environmental Performance label. Referred to as the Smog Index Label in California this lable began in 1998. This label is required to be displayed in 2009 on new cars, light and medium duty trucks. Two prominent scales are presented. One is the Global Warming Score and second is the Smog Score.
EPA Fuel Economy Information
Commonly referred to as the EPA Fuel Economy numbers this sheet shows projected fuel economy that you could expect to get with the car.
18 City and 29 Highway are in bold print. In the not-so-bold print under the 18 MPG CITY is that the Expected range for most drivers is 14 to 22 mpg. Under the 29 MPH HIGHWAY is that the Expected range for most drivers is 24 to 34 MPG.
MSRP Window Sticker
Shown is portion of the window sticker. STANDARD VEHICLE PRICE is $23,880; RS Package is $1,750 which includes the 20″ tires & wheels, HID headlamps with Halo rings, rear spoiler, and unique tail lamps; $995 for the 6-Speed Automatic; and $655 for the Convenience and Connectivity package.
MSRP is right at $28K
This is a very competitive price on the car. You will need to review the window sticker for complete details. The point of this exercise for review of the MSRP is the fact that a significant performance can can be assembled with a relative short list of options, if so desired.
However, it is totally clear that the 2010 Camaro offers a lot of performance and heritage provided for the price.
I must say this is a great article i enjoyed reading it keep the good work
Stacey, thanks for the positive comments.
